Coconut Macaroons to ring in 2009

I decided to make Coconut Macaroons to ring in the new year. It's my first time making macaroons. I had a bunch of shredded coconut left over from Jerry's birthday, so I was looking for a recipe to use the coconut.

We were invited to a dinner with the Wongs, so I brought some for dessert (in addition to the chocolate mousse pie Jerry bought).

The ingredients were all white (flour, sugar, vanilla, coconut, salt, and egg whites)


The egg whites beaten:

The coconuts added to the mixture:
